Hand pulled and recycled cane

Designing forms in Rhino and 3D printing vessels to cast cane inside. These are part of a series of capsules that explores cellular formations found in the makeup of organisms and place. By experimenting with pulled glass cane, and hints of a liquid mirror to echo the repeating, almost infinite divisions of cells and their often unseen internal celular systems.

Inspired by place and ecosystems, the colors are sequenced and sampled from landscapes and sites where I find myself returing to, sites where memories are embedded. Preserving small fragments of place within a magnified capsule slice.
